Diamond has released a new pedal that claims to be a true vibrato model, not to be confused with phase shifters, that is a univibe effect, or tremolos, called Diamond Vibrato Guitar Pedal Effect that is an all analog stompbox build from VIshay JFET (junction field-effect transistor) audiophile op-amps and polyprop caps, that means the pedal provides true pitch modulating vibrato effect (with a chorus effect as a bonus) that can be used connected directly to the guitar or by the effects loop.

Some features of the Diamond Vibrato Guitar Pedal Effect true bypass, all analog circuitry, high and jazz switches for more sound depth or a vintage tone, chorus blend control, smooth sinewave LFO filter (with ‘magic-eye’ LED that show vibrato waveform even if bypassed) and mono input and output. Finally it don’t include the auto-pan feature announced at the beginning of the year and has a compact size, smaller that the original design.

You can connect an expression pedal to control the vibrato depth and speed without changing anything else and the device comes with Hammond cast aluminum case, so it will last a lot of shows. The Diamond Vibrato Guitar Pedal Effect is now available and its price is $269.

Even that we have not the name nor an image of the new release by Vigier only by knowing that it will be their first single-cut body shape model it is worth talk about it. The new Vigier Single Cut-away Electric Guitar will be a traditional model when talking about shape but really modern when talking about components, it includes the last developments by the French company including some that will be released with the guitar, and will produce a very improved tone (since older models) better sustain and will be very hard to find it out of the tune.

Some features of the Vigier Single Cut-away Electric Guitar are solid alder body with flamed maple top, wood/carbon fiber neck (in a 10/90 proportion), Teflon nut (that will be added to all its models from now and improves the overall tuning), Vigier custom bridge and tailpiece (that allow you to lock any part of the bridge system after setting it up), 2 humbucker pickups, 5-way pickup switch and volume and tone controls.

By now we must wait until having a real image, and not this kind of ultrasound image that shows us that the baby is on its way. We also don’t know the price nor the release date of the Vigier Single Cut-away Electric Guitar, we’ll keep you informed.

Moog is one of the companies that always gets a lot of buzz in their upcoming releases, either it’s because they have a lot of fans or because they release a low number of products per year the truth is that their next release, the Moog Taurus Bass Synth Pedal, a reissue of a pedal manufactured by Moog until 1983 (the second version) has some people waiting for it. For those who don’t know this is an analog bass synth pedal keyboard where you control the synth sounds with the 13 keys (or 18 in the second version) using your foots, this reissue will be based on the original Taurus model specifications and sound.

The features of this new Moog Taurus Bass Synth Pedal are 13 keys (one and a half octaves), 100% analog sound engine, 2 VCO oscillators, ADS contour generator, 1 VCF filter, arpeggiator, 16 sound banks (with 4 presets per bank) of programmable bass tones, original Taurus I sounds in bank 0, MIDI (DIN and USB) connections, VCA output and volume, filter, pitch and gate controls.

Although this is only a preliminary list of features (and we even don’t know if the device will be produced) we already know that the shipping date will be towards the end of this month and that there will be an special offer for the first 250 orders (or the offer ends in February 15th if there haven’t been 250 orders yet) that will be able to buy the Moog Taurus Bass Synth Pedal for $1,695 (making a deposit of $500), all other orders will be at $1,995. By the way, there will be only 100 units produced of this device.

The Homebrew Paul Gilbert Detox EQ Pedal has been build under the personal requirements of Paul Gilbert to get a clean tone with its humbucker pickup guitar at low volumes without killing sound frequencies, and here it is the result in a compact stompbox way.

The Homebrew Paul Gilbert Detox EQ Pedal can clean or boost your tone with any kind of sound and it features true bypass, simple treble, mid, bass and level controls, noise-free operation and is powered by a 9V baterry or a DC adapter. Simple and effective pedal that could be a great addition to our gear.

The pedal is now finished, although Gilbert still uses a prototype, but there have been no news about a release date but we do know that it will come in yellow and signed by Gilbert. Probably the best thing about the Homebrew Paul Gilbert Detox EQ Pedal is that knowing how well it works the price is only $160.

The boost stages are completely transparent so you can use it even without the loop function just to get a higher volume for you own custom tone.

The FuzzHugger Hugger Loop Effect Pedal features 3 operation modes (single-stage boost, dual-stage boost, pre & post boost and two independent boosts), true bypass switch, boost and master controls for the boost stages, 3 toggle switches to activate/deactivate operation modes and on/off bright white LED and footswitch.

Each pedal comes hand painted but don’t think that for that is a weak stompbox because it comes with rugged aluminum enclosure, switchcraft jacks and 5-year warranty, it’s powered by a 9V battery or a power adapter. The FuzzHugger Hugger Loop Effect Pedal is now available and its price, only as an introductory promotion, is from $110 to $120.
