Denon DN-HS5500 Turntable

Denon DN-HS5500 TurntableDenon has released a new turntable model that also works as controller through its MIDI connections (USB MIDI) and file playback with its internal 2.5″ hard disk and the USB connection (you can connect MP3 players to it). The Denon DN-HS5500 Turntable includes all the classic Denon turntable features like direct drive motor, 2.5 kg/cm start-up torque and a response of 0.5 seconds.

The specifications of the Denon DN-HS5500 Turntable are one-button switch dual deck (can be played simultaneously), 24-bit audio processing and 44.1 kHz sampling rates, internal 2.5″ HD and external USB device support, high torque direct drive motor 33/45 rpm switch, 5 built-in DSP (flanger, hi, mid and lo filters, echo, tail echo and echo loop) with dry/mix control and 3 built-in platter effects (brake, dump and reverse), mirror mix function (adds an additional delayed track with 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, 1/1 and 2/1 delay setting options), 3.8″ LCD display, 2 RCA stereo line outputs, 1 digital output, RJ45 (for synchronize it with another DN-HS5500 turntable) and USB connections.

This turntable supports MP3 and WAV files playback and ASIO and OSX Core Audio drivers. The Denon DN-HS5500 Turntable will be available this month but its price has not been announced yet.

Technics SL-1200 MK6 Limited Edition Turntable

Technics SL-1200 MK6 Limited Edition TurntableThe Panasonic brand Technics will release, to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the SL-1200 turntable, whose MK2 was its first model to incorporate the pitch control, an updated version of this turntable released in 1972. The Technics SL-1200 MK6 Limited Edition Turntable is based on the previous MK5 version but introduces some features like improvements on vibration control and on the motor.

The specifications of this Technics SL-1200 MK6 Limited Edition Turntable are direct drive motor, s-shaped tone arm, quartz control system, -78 dB SNR, 1,5 kg/cm starting torque, OFC (oxygen-free copper wire) materials for better tone and less noise, pitch control and long-life super-bright blue LED.

This turntable model will be available in black and silver colors. The Technics SL-1200 MK6 Limited Edition Turntable will be available on December 12 but its price has not been announced yet.
