Today’s guitar news comes courtesy of Gibson USA’s Custom Shop Blog. The official word (albeit delivered in an unofficial format) is that Gibson Custom is hard at work on a guitar saluting artist Billy Gibbons.
The limited-run guitar will be based on Gibbons’ own 1959 “Pearly Gates” Les Paul. (Pictured to the left is Gibson’s early working color model next to the genuine article). The blog provides no further details, and is mum on cost as well as availability numbers. It’s an early official buzz on the product though, so we figured we’d go ahead and share.
