Sontronics is a very new British company that is specialized in mics but lately they have released some other products like the Sontronics Sonora Preamplifier & Direct Input, their second effort in the preamp product line, that provides a high quality vintage sound made up with modern technology that will be a very good door for your recording system.
The Sontronics Sonora Preamplifier & Direct Input is a dual solid-state channel device that has the same features on each channel including gain control, 75Khz low-pass filter, 0 to -20dB attenuation pad and +48V phantom power, electronically balanced 1/4″ (instrument) and XLR (mic) inputs, and balanced/unbalanced 1/4″ and unbalanced XLR outputs. Besides that the preamp also features 20Hz to 40kHz frequency response, zero latency and distortion-free headroom figure.
And among all these this preamp is a very compact device weighting only 1 Kg and its measures are 24.5 x 14.5 and 6.5 cm; it’s powered by an external and included power supply. The Sontronics Sonora Preamplifier & Direct Input is now available and its price is $699.
