Mackie has just announced 2 new products in their mixer product line that will make things easier on the studio or on the stage, specially if you are using it with a PC or a Mac. The Mackie U.420 & U.420d Mixers that come with a cool design, probably original in studio, are zero-latency devices for instant recording, just plug and play… and record.
The features shared by both products are 4 channels (U.420 for line inputs and U.420d for mic/line inputs), 24 bit audio resolution, 96 kHz sampling rate, 3-band full-kill acitve EQ per channel, gain and volume controls per channel, 30mm crossfader and large master volume knob, firewire input with dedicated level control, RIAA phono preamp for turntables, built-in DI box for instruments, headphones output and Tracktion 3 software.
The U.420 also comes with 4 high-headroom stereo line inputs for electronic devices. While the U.420d model comes with +48V phantom power and 2 mic channels with 3-band EQ. The Mackie U.420 & U.420d Mixers are now available and their prices are $229 and $279, respectively.
