This will probably be the most commented release of this year, Moog has released a guitar model that will change the way that some people sees the guitars. The Moog Paul Vo Collector Edition Guitar includes some features never seen on a guitar, let’s take a look at what makes it so special.
Some features of the Moog Paul Vo Collector Edition Guitar are mahogany body (with AAAAA flame maple or AAAAA quilted maple carved top), 3-piece hard rock maple neck, c-shape neck profile, ebony fingerboard, 22 medium jumbo frets, 25.5″ scale length, Moog customized Wilkinson-style bridge (with Graphtec piezo saddles and tremolo), 2 custom-designed noise canceling single-coil Moog pickups, 3-way mini-toggle pickup switch, 3-way and 5-way pickup switches, 3 gold and 2 black knobs (Vo power, piezo blend, harmonic balance, master volume and tone/filter controls), XLR output for the pedal controller (that blends the 2 type pickups), piezo 1/4″ output jack and Moog ladder filter and LFO subsystem electronics included.
The most interesting features of this model are the Moog footpedal that controls the harmonic blend and the frequency response of the ladder filter and the operation modes (full sustain, that provides infinite sustain on every string, controlled sustain, sustains playing notes or chords and mutes everything else, and mute mode, that is just like not having some strings (the guitar eliminates them).
The included hardshell case has all the necessary to carry the guitar and its foot pedal controller. The Moog Paul Vo Collector Edition Guitar is not affordable for everyone, the price is $6,500.
