
Hipkitty, a pedal and amp company with more than has been around more than 20 years, has released a new amp model, the Hipkitty Kitty Box Amp. This all-tube head amp is hand-wired, as all its products, includes made in USA transformers and produces a big range of tones, from clean and crunchy to classic tube warm distortion.
The specifications of the Hipkitty Kitty Box Amp are single channel, 50-watts power output, 12AX7 preamp and EL34 power amp tubes (but it also can use EL34, 6L6 or 5881 output tubes), switchable tube or solid state rectifier, high and low inputs, volume and master volume controls and 3-band EQ.
This head amp is only available in this green-like stained wood color and you can hear a sound sample in the official site that will give you and idea of the amp’s versatility that can be used with almost any music style. The price and availabilty of the Hipkitty Kitty Box Amp have not been announced yet.

it looks ramshackle and homemade. uncovered, stained wood?
the knob layout is awkward and ugly. master volume dead center?
for a company that claims to be around for 20 years, i’ve never heard of them, or known anyone who’s used any of this stuff.
this appears to be the first amp they’ve ever made.
and it’s horrendously overpriced.
that’s a purebred dud.
oh, the lack of soundclips and zero description of how it sounds isn’t helpful either.
