Another model released on the Inspired By series, this time is the turn of Steve Jones the guitar player of the Sex Pistols that owned and played a 1974 Les Paul during those days that has been recreated (including the stickers) for this serie. The Gibson Steve Jones Inspired By Les Paul Guitar will be in the wish list of all nostalgic 70’s punk fans, but, be aware, you must prepare your pocket.

The specifications of the Gibson Steve Jones Inspired By Les Paul Guitar are 1-piece mahongay body with carved maple top, 1-piece mahongay neck, ebony fingerboard, 22 frets, 24.75″ scale length, ABR-1 bridge with stopbar tailpiece, 496 R and 498 T non-covered humbucker pickups, 3-way pickup switch and 2 volume and 2 tone controls.

The guitar comes with a aged yellow finish (that originally it probably was a white finish with a lot of smoke), certificate of authenticity and custom shop case. The Gibson Steve Jones Inspired By Les Paul Guitar is now available and its price is $4,400.

    Actually, I think they should’ve made it more expensive, so only sad old posers with too much cash can get ripped off! Do what Steve Jones would’ve done .. steal it. I’m glad they didn’t make a cheap Epiphone version like they did with Zakk Wylde, Slash et al, that’s just Gibson ripping off good folk of their ‘fithy lucre’ who can’t afford the ‘real’ replica. Shameful!

    it’s fuckin appalling that gibson should expect people to pay $4400 for a shaggin guitar, i would love one just to say i had a guitar like steve, but fuck em !, i’ll make one !
