Eastwood Messenger Tribute Guitar

Eastwood Messenger Tribute Guitar

I’ve been very pleased to read that Electric Guitar Review is back “on the road” and coming back with an interesting release, a tribute model by Eastwood Guitars of the guitar usually played by Mark Farner of the Grand Funk Railroad band. The Eastwood Messenger Tribute Guitar is a hollow-body model, with solid center block, and cat-eye like f-holes that looks really good, lets take a look at their features.

The features of the Eastwood Messenger Tribute Guitar are maple body (with a spruce top) and neck, rosewood fingerboard, 21 frets, 25.5″ scale length, dual mini-humbuckers pickups, 3-way pickup switch and 2 volume and 2 tone controls. The guitar doesn’t include many of the original features of the Messenger guitar like the aluminum neck or the additional stereo output, so don’t expect an exact replica, expect a similar looking axe but simplified to avoid the feedback problems that had the guitar.

This guitar is available in greenburst and cherry finishes and a limited number of models will be produced. The Eastwood Messenger Tribute Guitar will ship in April, but now preorders are accepted, and its price is $849.
