We announced here last month and now we have the official confirmation for the Gibson Inspired by Slash Guitars, Gibson has announced the characteristics for the first 3 models of this serie, each model belongs to the 3 brands that are involved with this development, Gibson, Gibson USA and Epiphone, but it seems that they have pushed back the release date and now we should wait unit April 1st.
The first model is the Gibson Custom Inspired By Slash Les Paul Standard VOS, the VOS means vintage original specs so prepare your pockets, which features mahogany body with 3-piece maple top, Slash’s designed 1-piece mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard, 22 frets, Tone Pros Nashville Tune-o-matic bridge with stopbar tailpiece, Seymour Duncan Alnico II humbucker pickups, 3-way pickup switch, 2 volume and 2 tone controls and heritage cherry sunburst finish (replica of the Slash’s one) with nitro-cellulose lacquer, and now the MSRP price… $5,880.
The medium-range model is made by Gibson USA and has been called Slash Signature Les Paul Standard, and has the same features as the previous model except for the AA figured maple top and the antique vintage sunburst finish, well also for the MSRP price, this time $3,500.
The low price model is being made by Epiphone, Slash Signature Les Paul Standard Plus Top, and is the same Epiphone signature model that we unveiled some months ago that has a MSRP price of $1,500, and we saw on some stores with an approximate price of $700.
All the models include a certificate of authenticity, Slash-inspired accessories, hardshell case and some artwork, picks and promotional items. No image has been distributed yet, so we pictured the post with the same image of the original announcement of the Epiphone model.
