PreSonus continues unveiling products to cover all the possible recording tasks, this new product is called PreSonus FireStudio Tube Interface and has one special characteristic that make it different from other interfaces, it features 2 channels with tube preamp (military grade 12AX7 tube) for mic or instruments that provides gained clear sound with classic warm tube tone.
The specifications of the PreSonus FireStudio Tube Interface are 24-bit and 96 kHz audio quality, 2 12AX7 preamp tube channels with drive, gain, limiter and gain makeup controls and +48V phantom power, 8 XMAX preamps, 16 analog (that have a level control per pair), 2 Neutrik combo and 6 balanced 1/4″ inputs, Neutrik balanced 1/4″ and headphones (with level control) outputs and MIDI connections.
This interface is compatible with Windows and Mac computers and comes with Propak software that includes Cubase LE 4 and some other interesting software like plug-ins or drum loops. The PreSonus FireStudio Tube Interface will be available this spring but tis price has not been unveiled yet.
