Boss was present in the Winter NAMM show as we saw with the GT-10 and GT10B multi-effects, another released product was an upgraded version of the Boss BR-900CD Digital Recorder, which main improvement are the included GT-Pro COSM guitar amp models that will allow you to experiment many different sounds.
The Boss BR-900CD Digital Recorder features 8 tracks, 46 COSM amp models, built-in high quality effects, onboard programmable drum machine, 24-bit A/D & D/A conversion, 44.1 kHz sampling rate, 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response, 1 per track and 1 master faders, input selector, input level and transport controls, +48V phantom power, 2 XLR mic, 1/4″ instrument, RCA line and footswitch inputs, RCA line and optical digital outputs, MIDI and USB connections, compact flash slot and built-in CD burner.
This recorder comes with Rhythm Editor software, you can download from the Boss website, to create your own drum loops and patterns. The price and availability of this version 2 of the Boss BR-900CD Digital Recorder have not been announced yet.
