After the success of the LA-610 model Universal Audio has released a signature and limited edition of this audio channel strip which will have only 500 units available. The Universal Audio LA-610 SE Tube Recording Channel is a hand-assembled preamp with similar features to the standard model but with improved components, specially the tubes.
The Universal Audio LA-610 SE Tube Recording Channel features American-made NOS vintage tube (3 5751, 1 6072 and 1 6AQ5 tubes), Cinemag transformer, mic pre / direct input with gain and level controls, 2-band EQ and input type selector, Teletronix LA-2A-Style T4 Opto compressor with gain and peak reduction controls, 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response, 40 dB maximum gain, operation mode switch (bypass, compressor and limiter) and analog VU meter (with meter selector).
This signature edition has an all-black design, Bill Putnam Jr. signature and comes with a certificate of authenticity. The Universal Audio LA-610 SE Tube Recording Channel will be available in March and its approximate price will be $1,999.
