If you want to feel like in a big studio when you are in front of your computer you can take a look at the new Euphonix’s control surfaces that has been released at the same time they are celebrating its 20 years anniversary. The Euphonix MC Mix & MC Control Surfaces are very versatile and compact controllers, Euphonix recommends to put it between the monitor and the keyboard, that look really good.
The Euphonix MC Mix Control Surface features programmable buttons, touch-sensitive multi-function rotary encoders, selector keys (to assign the encoders to EQ, panning, etc.), 8 100mm touch-sensitive motorized faders, transport controls and 8 OLED channel displays.
On the other side the specifications of the Euphonix MC Control Surface are OLED touchscreen interface, 8 touch-sensitive rotary encoders, 4 touch-sensitive motorized faders, 12 assignable soft keys, transport controls, jog wheel (that can also be used as shuttle or zoom wheel) and comes bundled with the Studio Monitor Express software.
Both devices include the high-speed EuCon ethernet protocol to connect to your DAW and the only problem is that they are only available for Mac OS X users. These products are available for pre-order and their prices are $1,000 for the Euphonix MC Mix and $1,500 for the Euphonix MC Control.
