Blackbird Updates Rider Guitar Model [Winter NAMM 2008]

After the release of the Rider model Blackbird will introduce two new ones on the Winter NAMM show, these models are string and nylon version of an upgraded Rider guitar model. The steel string version has the same name, Blackbird Rider but the nylon version gets a new name and it’s called the Blackbird Nylon.

The improvements of the Blackbird Rider & Nylon Guitars are lighter weight, a little bit bigger body, Soundscoop (an upper bout extension in the sound hole) and the Nylon model features 13.5″ fingerboard width (instead of the Rider’s 12″). Other features of this models are one-piece carbon fiber hollow body and neck and stereo sound hole (SSH, a sound hole located on the headstock to reduce standing waves).

As an optional feature and for additional $140 you can put the DTAR Wavelength Load N’ lock pickup system to get a more beautiful tone. The suggested price of these models are $1,600 for the Blackbird Rider and $1,900 for the Blackbird Nylon.
