Blackheart Engineering Killer Ant & Devil Amps [Winter NAMM 2008]

Not much time after the release of the Little Giant amps Blackheart Engineering unveils 2 new models that will be introduced at Winter NAMM, the Killer Ant and Devil Amp models are all-tube head amps (one is available in combo version)

The Blackheart Engineering BH1H Killer Ant is a high-quality fractional tube amp that features Class A all-tube circuit, a single volume control, on/off footswitch and light and a surprisingly “big” classic tube tone. This amp matches with the BH110 Killer Cab that features 10″ Emincence driver and 4, 8 and 16 ohms extension speaker outputs.

On the other side we have the Blackheart Engineering BH15H Handsome Devil Amp that is available in head and combo versions and include 15-watts power output, Class A circuit, pentode and triode (power output reduces to 7-watts) modes with flip switches, 2 12AX7 preamp and 2 EL84 power amp tubes, solid-state rectifier, drive, level and presence “chicken head” controls and 3-band EQ. The head version comes with 1 16 ohms, 2 8 ohms and 2 4 ohms cabinet outputs and the combo version includes a 12″ Eminence driver speaker.

Although these models will be shown at Winter NAMM they will not be available until April, the estimated prices are $140 for the BH1H Killer Ant Head, $140 for the BH110 Killer Cab, $300 for the BH15H Handsome Devil head and $400 for the BH15H-112 Handsome Devil Combo Amp.
