This improvements for the Fender American Standard Series include a new designed bridge, bent-steel saddles, new neck and body finish and an exclusive molded case when talking about guitars; in the bass side we have a new neck and body finish, lightweight tuners, the new HMV high-mass vintage bridge, and particularly in the Precision Bass model there will be a new version with 5-string and passive pickups.
It looks like Fender has not unveiled the new 2008 prices for this updated American Standard Series, so we’ll have to wait until we see this info.
I’m hoping they update the pickups.
