The GB mixer series of Soundcraft are well-known by professionals for its quality and now at Winter NAMM 2008 there will be one more member of this family, the Soundcraft GB2R Mixer, that will be a very good tool for small audio installations who want high quality sound. This model is available in 2 versions, one with 16 channels, 16 mono inputs and 8 buses; and the other with 12.2 channels, 12 mono and 2 stereo inputs, 1 stereo sub group output and 10 buses.
The specifications of the Soundcraft GB2R Mixer are GB30 mic preamp, 4-band GB30 EQ and switchable +48V phantom power per input, 100Hz hi-pass filter with switch, phase reverser switch, mic gain and pan controls, 100mm faders, record, stereo mix, mono sum, 6 aux and direct outputs per each mono input and XLR and jack inputs.
This mixer comes in a 19″ rack-mountable format but the rear panel can be rotated to make easier the change between desktop and rack modes. The Soundcraft GB2R Mixer’s price and availability have to be announced yet.
