It looks like the relationship between Belkin and the iPod is not over and will not be at the moment, their new product, that has been released at CES 2008, is a recording interface for iPod specially designed for podcasts. The Belkin iPod Podcast Studio will allow you to record you podcast anywhere you are without the need of a computer and then upload to your site.
The Belkin iPod Podcast Studio features have not been unveiled yet, there are only a few details like the compact size and portability, the dual XLR and 1/4″ inputs, built-in microphone, embedded speaker, mic volume control and, obviously, an iPod slot.
This will probably be a very interesting tool for collaborative podcast that can meet, for example, once a week to record the podcasts outside their houses. The Belkin iPod Podcast Studio will be available during the spring and its approximate price will be $100.
