A very interesting tool to achieve a unique tone is a booster pedal and if you are interested you should know that BSM has released 2 new booster models, both of them based on Vox models from the 60’s used by many British bands. The models are the BSM RMG Treble Booster and the BSM VX-C Classic Treble & Bass Booster, and both produce a very classic and vintage sound that will remind you of the music that was made during the 60 and 70’s.
The BSM RMG Treble Booster features 100% true bypass, jangle (tone) control, on/off footswitch and LED and provides punchy tones that vary depending on the jangle level, from glassy to bottom and mid tones. This effect pedal works perfectly with blues, jazz, country, … and if you power it with 18V (instead of 9V) you’ll get a cleaner headroom.
The BSM VX-C Classic Treble & Bass Booster features 100% true bypass, tone control, on/off footswitch and LED and provides a old style tone that wants to recover the position they have before the Tube Screamers came in.
The availability of both pedals have not been announced yet but their MSRP prices are €225 for the BSM RMG Treble Booster and €180 for the BSM VX-C Classic Treble & Bass Booster.
