Cary brought this new some days ago but although the guitar can be purchased it still has no page on the Gibson Custom Shop site and I think it should be. Because the Gibson Custom Shop 1968 Les Paul Custom Chambered is probably the first Les Paul model of a new era with a lighter body because of the chambers distributed around the body, this model is based on the ‘68 Custom Les Paul.
The Gibson Custom Shop 1968 Les Paul Custom Chambered features chambered mahogany body with carved maple top, 1-piece mahogany neck, rounded neck profile, ebony fingerboard, 22 frets, 24.75″ scale length, ABR-1 bridge with stopbar tailpiece, 2 ‘57 Classic humbucker pickups, 3-way pickup switch and 2 volume and 2 tone controls.
This guitar, we don’t know if it’s a limited edition or not, comes with certificate of authenticity, Custom Shop hardshell case and custom care kit. The Gibson Custom Shop 1968 Les Paul Custom Chambered is now available and its price is $3,350.
