Denon has released a new turntable model that also works as controller through its MIDI connections (USB MIDI) and file playback with its internal 2.5″ hard disk and the USB connection (you can connect MP3 players to it). The Denon DN-HS5500 Turntable includes all the classic Denon turntable features like direct drive motor, 2.5 kg/cm start-up torque and a response of 0.5 seconds.
The specifications of the Denon DN-HS5500 Turntable are one-button switch dual deck (can be played simultaneously), 24-bit audio processing and 44.1 kHz sampling rates, internal 2.5″ HD and external USB device support, high torque direct drive motor 33/45 rpm switch, 5 built-in DSP (flanger, hi, mid and lo filters, echo, tail echo and echo loop) with dry/mix control and 3 built-in platter effects (brake, dump and reverse), mirror mix function (adds an additional delayed track with 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, 1/1 and 2/1 delay setting options), 3.8″ LCD display, 2 RCA stereo line outputs, 1 digital output, RJ45 (for synchronize it with another DN-HS5500 turntable) and USB connections.
This turntable supports MP3 and WAV files playback and ASIO and OSX Core Audio drivers. The Denon DN-HS5500 Turntable will be available this month but its price has not been announced yet.
