M-Audio announces a new portable recorder based on the MicroTrack model that helps us in professional quality recordings of live shows, speeches, songs you just wrote and many more. The M-Audio MicroTrack II Portable Recorder uses Compact Flash or MicroDrives cards to store the recording and its seamless recording for big files keeps us from worrying about file size.
The M-Audio MicroTrack II Portable Recorder features MP3 (96 to 320 kbps at 44.1 or 48kHz quality) and WAV (16 or 24-bit at 44.1, 48, 88.2 or 96kHz quality) recording, 2 channels, dual mic preamps with 48V phantom power (switchable), 1/4″ line, S/PDIF and 1/8″ mic (with 5V power for included stereo electret mic) inputs, RCA line and 1/8” stereo headphones outputs, navigation buttons, output level control, backlit LCD display, Compact Flash or MicroDrives storage support and USB 2.0 port.
This portable recorder includes a USB or power supply rechargeable lithium battery that lasts up to 5 hours (3 if you use the phantom power). The M-Audio MicroTrack II Portable Recorder is now available and its price is $299.95.

This is great for those moments when you have an idea and you are afraid you lose it. So record it for later.
It will be probably very useful for some of us
