Japanese pickup and effects company Maxon has released 2 new stompbox models belonging to the 9-series product line, the first one is the OSD-9 Overdrive/Soft distortion Pedal, a pedal, based on the legendary OD880, that produces a low-noise warm and soft distortion tone similar to the tube amp’s tone.
The Maxon 9-series OSD-9 Overdrive/Soft distortion Pedal features a 741 op amp (the same as the OD880 pedal), true bypass with 4DPT mechanical switch, drive and level controls and on/off and battery status LED indicator. This pedal is a very good complement for a guitar equipped with single-coil pickups
This pedal includes the indestructible 9-Series chassis and is powered by a 9V battery. The Maxon 9-series OSD-9 Overdrive/Soft distortion Pedal is now available and its price is $195.
