Allen & Heath released some time ago the first model of a series, the ZED mixers, this model was the ZED-14, but now they have decided to introduce 3 new and bigger 4-buses models, ZED-420, ZED-428 and ZED-436, that are specially designed for professional in a live show or in a studio and have similar features to the ZED-14 and some improved ones.
The ZED 4-buses models feature DuoPreTM mic/line preamp, 4-band EQ (with 2 mids and input/output switch), 6 aux sends (2 pre, 2 post and 3 pre/post), +48V phantom power per channel with switch, 100mm long throw faders, direct output for each mono channel, L, R and M main mix outputs (with master level control on each output) and USB port. Each model has a different number of mono channels, 16 inputs in model ZED-420, 24 inputs in model ZED-428 and 32 inputs in model ZED-436.
All the models introduced from the ZED series include the Cakewalk Sonar LE production software. This new ZED mixers are now available and their prices are €1,325 for the ZED-420 model, €1,620 for the ZED-428 model and €1,915 for the ZED-436 model.
