There are some interesting news from the AES show, one of them is the new portable mic from Blue Microphones, the Snowflake USB Portable Mic. This mic is a compact and portable version of the Snowball USB mic and could be a perfect tool for podcasters, conferences and many more.
The Blue Microphones Snowflake USB Portable Mic’s design makes it look like a webcam and includes a case, that covers the mic when it’s closed, and converts into a clip, that can be used as a stand or a s a laptop clip, when it’s opened. Its small size makes it the first professional portable USB mic for computer-related tasks.
This mic works in PC and Mac computers with no additional driver needed. The Blue Microphones Snowflake USB Portable Mic will be available in November 1 and its MSRP is $79, so it’s a very good and affordable option for a real portable USB mic.
