Focusrite has released at AES show a new product from its Liquid product range, the Focusrite Liquid4PRE Mic Preamp, a preamp that has been qualified by Focusrite as the most flexible in the world. This device comes in a 2U rack-mountable format.
The Focusrite Liquid4PRE Mic Preamp features 4 channels, 99 user presets and sessions slots, 40 classic DSP mic preamp emulations, LCD display per channel, independent high pass filter, +48V phantom power and phase reverse per channel, automatic gain control circuit and can be combined with another Liquid4PRE device through ADAT or EtherSound connections.
This mic preamp can be used with and remotely controlled by a DAW over the ethernet port but if you are using Pro Tools, Focusrite has released a specific plug-in for this software. The Focusrite Liquid4PRE Mic Preamp will be available this November ans its price will be near $4,900.
