Lexicon PCM96 Stereo Effects Processor

A very interesting product has been released at AES show, Lexicon has introduced a new stereo reverb and effects processor that includes classic features from Lexicon previous models, but also comes with some new and interesting ones. The Lexicon PCM96 Stereo Effects Processor can be used either for studio or live show tasks.

The Lexicon PCM96 Stereo Effects Processor features 28 built-in effects (reverbs, delays or modulation effects including acclaimed concert hall and new room and hall reverbs), 32-bit audio processing and 44.1, 48, 88.2 and 96 kHz sampling rates, OLED display, 3 small and 1 big rotary knobs, navigate, compare, store and tap/tempo buttons, compact flash slot for storing presets, 2 ethernet and 2 firewire ports, MIDI connections, AES/EBU input and output, stereo balanced XLR input and output and BNC wordclock input.

This effects processor comes in a 1U rack-mountable format and works as a control-only DAW insert or as a FireWire hardware plug-in (VST and AU formats). The price and availability of the Lexicon PCM96 Stereo Effects Processor have to be announced yet.
