The Sony PCM-D50 Portable Recorder features 16 or 24-bit audio processing and 44.1, 48 and 96 kHz sampling rates, 2-position stereo condenser mic (with adjustable angle, 90 and 120 degrees), stereo PCM WAV recording, pitch control, dual limiter, low-cut and high pass (with 75 or 150 Hz selectable frequencies) filters, A-B repeat function (plays the last 5 seconds), MP3 playback, low noise (because of its 4 independent circuits, digital and analog audio, digital recordings and power supply), USB 2.0 port (works in Windows and Mac), aux mic and line inputs and headphones and line outputs.

This recorder, as you can read, includes some interesting features, like the longer battery life using AA alkaline batteries, but we really miss one of them, MP3 direct recording. The Sony PCM-D50 Portable Recorder list price is $600 and should be available now.
