The next leaked guitar of the Guitar of the Week series is the Gibson SG Classic Custom Aged Cherry, a wood finished guitar with gold hardware and tuners that makes a really ugly guitar. The guitar has a hand-bound fingerboard and headstock as a special features, but the rest is very similar to other SG models.
The Gibson SG Classic Custom Aged Cherry features mahogany body and neck, ebony fingerboard, 22 frets, 24.75″ scale length, Nashville bridge with stopbar tailpiece, 1 ‘57 Classic and 1 ‘57 Classic Plus humbucker pickups, 3-way pickup switch and 2 volume and 2 tone controls.
The white pickguard from this guitar really makes it worst looking, but I’m sure there will be buyers for this guitar. The price and availability of the Gibson SG Classic Custom Aged Cherry have to be announced yet, but its production run will be limited to 400 units.
