Allen & Heath has introduced a new product on the Xone series, after the release of controllers and mixers now it’s the time for a filter unit. The Allen & Heath Xone:VF-1 is a new analog device designed for live shows that provides a classic valve sound but with the easy-to-use functions of a digital device.
The Allen & Heath Xone:VF-1 features 3 pass (hi-, band- and low-pass, all with independent buttons) that can be activated on-the-fly and individually, LFO and invert (on the rear) filters, mono/stereo switch, envelope follower (with release speed switch, slow or fast), valve overdrive (with on/off switch), LFO (with square/sinusoidal waveform switch), LFO depth and resonance controls, stereo XLR balanced and stereo jack and RCA unbalanced outputs, stereo balanced jack and XLR inputs and MIDI connections.
This filter unit, that comes in a 1U rack-mountable format, can be connected to a Xone controller to set the parameters from the controller or to another Xone:VF-1 and control the parameters from both units from one of them. The Allen & Heath Xone:VF-1 is now available and its price is $600.
