Although this is probably only affordable for professional studios this new release of A-Design caught my attention, the A-Design HM2EQ Hammer EQ is an all-analog tube EQ that produces this characteristic warm and clean sound produced by the combination of analog circuit with vacuum tubes.
The A-Design HM2EQ Hammer EQ features Philips 12AT tubes, 2 channels, 3-band EQ controls per channel, boost knobs (up to ±12 dB) per frequency range, bypass, hi cut and low cut filters switchers, on/off switch and blue lamp and 2 balanced XLR inputs (one per channel) and 2 balanced XLR outputs (one per channel).
This EQ is a 2U rack-mountable unit with metal chassis and aluminum front plate. The A-Design HM2EQ Hammer EQ is now available and its price is $2,695. If you are looking for a true analog sound, this is probably a device to consider.
