Another rumor about a new guitar, well it’s not really a rumor because it has been somehow confirmed by Zakk Wylde. The new guitar belongs to the Zakk Wylde signature collection, which recently added the Flying V Custom, and it will be a mix between Gibson’s models SG and a Flying V.
The Gibson Zakk-V Zakk Wylde Signature looks really strange, with the classic SG double cut-away and the bottom part of the Flying V, and features EMG pickups, 3 or 4 (I think the first one is under Zakk’s hand) in-line knobs, the classic 3-way pickup switch from the Flying V (in the end of the upper leg) and a strings-thru-body tailpiece (the bridge is also hide). Of course it also features the custom Zakk Wylde’s bullseye finish and the classic features of a Gibson guitar (Les Paul standard models headstock, block inlays, …).
We’ll have to wait to see the complete list of features, its price and availability, but we’ll post them here. That’s one of the kind of things I’d like to see in the Guitar of the Week series :D.
