Another Tuesday means another model in the Guitar of the Week series, this 35th week the chosen one has been the Gibson SG ‘61 Reissue Antique Satin Walnut, a guitar that is available as a regular model but with a very cool satin walnut finish.
The Gibson SG ‘61 Reissue Antique Satin Walnut features mahogany body and neck, 60’s slim taper profile, rosewood fingerboard, 24.75″ scale length, 22 frets, Tune-o-matic bridge with stopbar tailpiece, 1 Chrome ‘57 Classic and 1 Chrome ‘57 Classic Plus humbucker pickups, 3-way pickup switch and 2 volume and 2 tone controls.
Looking at the features of this new model, I must say that I’d like to see more differences between the regular models and this Guitar of the Week models, I hope to see them in the next models.
As each Guitar of the Week model, the production run of this guitar will be limited to 400 units. The price and availability of the Gibson SG ‘61 Reissue Antique Satin Walnut has to be announced yet.
