RME has launched an evolutioned version of the OctaMic preamp that is expected to be as successful as the previous model. The new RME OctaMic II Preamp is a mic and line preamp that will fit perfectly for recording sessions or mixing tasks when the channel number needed is high.
The RME OctaMic II Preamp features 24-bit audio processing and 192kHz sampling rate, 8 channels, 8 balanced mic/line inputs, 5 Hz to 200 kHz frequency response, 129 dB SNR, A/D conversion, +48V phantom power, phaser and lo filter cut per channel, 1/4″ TRS line output and 8 balanced level outputs.
This preamp has high quality components and SteadyClock technology to provide its best possible sound even with jittery external clocks, and can be used with Fireface and HammerfallDSP series products as an input expansion. The RME OctaMic II Preamp will be available in October and its MSRP is $1,799.
