Although it was first introduced in February, the Elysia Mpressor, the new compressor unit from the German company, it couldn’t be released until now. This can be a proof that it has been tested to work perfectly for the recording and mixing tasks, so if you’re interested on a Class A high quality analog compressor device, you should take a look.
The Elysia Mpressor features 2 channels, threshold, attack, release, ratio, EQ gain, EQ frequency, max reduction and gain controls per channel, LED meter per channel, gain reduction limiter (that can be used to set a maximum gain level, to increase the volume of quieter song parts or to decrease the volume when a voice comes in), niveau filter (boosts high frequencies and cut the low ones, or viceversa) and auto fast function (automatic undistorted gain reduction).
This device comes in a 1U rack-mountable format. The price and availability of the Elysia Mpressor has to be announced yet.
