I won’t worry for the Pocket POD sound, it sound really good and can be used perfectly in small shows, I’d rather worry about the difficulty of changing a preset on the fly.

yes, i think you’re right, but i asked you that for one thing. it’s the sound good enough for live concerts? if you create your own presets, you can put the pocket pod in your strap near your body and it’s easy to change between presets. it’s depends on what you want to do with this POD.
hope to answer that. i want to know if the sounds are good and if i can use this with a big combo amp or a stack in live concerts. thank you. Juan Pablo

I really not recommend the Pocket POD for live shows unless you can create presets for each song and you don’t need to change between them in the middle of the songs (it’s not like having a floor pedal)

hi, i’m looking for buy this Pocket POD and i have a question for you. it’s good to use in live concerts? is the device recommended for this kind of use? i know it’s better for practicing but it’s good for do other stuff, isn’t it? thanks

I have the pocket pod and the beringher v-amp (as well as some other stuff from line6 and digitech). The pocket pod sounds way better, in my opinion, than the v-amp. For home recording… is it good enough? That is subjective. In my worthless opinion, no. Others may think it sounds great. It still sounds “digitally” and the effects aren’t very good. Now keep in mind for recording I use mic’d tube amps and rackmount gear, so a little box like this doesn’t do it for me. It works great for an on the go practice device, which is what I bought it for.

In the article I say the Pocket POD is good for recording, specialy with laptops, and the sounds are the same from POD 2.0 (it’s said in the review too).

I think that there are no plans to release a bass version yet.

Since the sounds are the same as the original Pod or XT (you didn’t specify which) it would seem that this is every bit as good as they are for recording… not just home and/or practice use. You didn’t elaborate on your conclusions.

Btw… when is a bass model coming out? Soon I hope as it would be great to get a functional bass pod at this price point to add to my studio.

Battery life should be mentioned — 4-6 hours out of 4 AAAs. That means anyone using this shoudl buy an adapter – 9v DC; not the same as the other 9V pod adapters even though they seem to fit.
