Crate has just announced that their new amps from the V-Series are now shipping. They have renewed some of the models from the Crate V-Series Tube Amplifiers series and now they feature new design, less weight and power input switch to play in any country of the world. There 5 combo, 1 head and 1 cabinet models, and all of the are all-tube amps. Let’s see some of their features.
The first models is the V5 Class A Combo amp, this amp features 5-watt power output, one EL84 output tube, one 8″ speaker and gain, tone and master volume controls. A great amp for home practicing or to carry it around.
The V18-112 and the V18-212 models are very similar, the only difference between them is that the first one features one 12″ speaker, and the second one has two 12″ speakers. Both of them feature one single-channel, 18-watt power output, Class A design, gain and master volume controls, 3-band EQ, two cathode biased EL84 output tubes, spring reverb and footswitch with boost function.
The V33-212 models is the bigger brother of the previous amps, it features 33-watt power output, two channels, two 12″ speaker, four cathode biased EL84 output tubes, volume, gain, level and reverb controls, 3-band EQ and channel, boost (can be activated through the footswitch) and presence switches.
The biggest combo model is the V50-112, an all tube circuitry amp with 50-watt power output, two channels, Class AB design, one 12″ speaker, two fixed bias 6L6 output tubes, spring reverb, volume, gain, level and reverb controls, 3-band EQ and channel, boost (can be activated through the footswitch) and presence switches.
The head and cabinet models are the V33H and the V212B. The head model is an all tube circuitry amp with 33-watt power output, two channels, Class A design, four cathode biased EL84 output tubes, spring reverb, volume, gain, level and reverb controls, 3-band EQ and channel, boost (can be activated through the footswitch) and presence switches. The cabinet model two 12″ speakers, can handle up to 100-watts, 8 ohms input and dual mono jacks inputs.
All the Crate V-Series Tube amps are now available and their prices are, $199 for the V5 model, $399.99 for the V18-112 and $499.99 for the V18-212 combo amps, $529.99 for the V33-212 model, $449 for the V50-112 model and $399.99 for the V33H head amp and $329.99 for the V212B cabinet model.
