At Summer NAMM Ibanez didn’t only introduce metal-oriented guitars, they also showed the new archtop models from the Artcore Custom and from the AS series. The released guitars are Ibanez AS73B, Ibanez Artcore Custom AS103BM and Ibanez Artcore Custom AF105SM, all of them hollow body archtop affordable guitars.
The Ibanez AS73B features maple body, set-in neck, bound rosewood fingerboard, 22 jumbo frets, ART1 bridge, one ACH1-S (neck) and ACH2-S (bridge) humbucker pickups, 3.-way pickup switch and two tone and two volume controls. Available only in flat black finish the price of the Ibanez AS73B is $363.79.
The other two models are very similar, the features are maple body (burled maple for Ibanez Artcore Custom AS103BM and spalted maple for Ibanez Artcore Custom AF105SM), Artcore Custom set-in neck, rosewood fingerboard, 22 medium jumbo frets, ART1 bridge, one IBZ Custom 58 (neck) and one IBZ Custom 58 (bridge) humbucker pickups, 3-way pickup switch and two volume and two tone controls. Both are only available in natural finish and their prices are $799.99 for Ibanez Artcore Custom AS103BM model and $1,000 approx for the Ibanez Artcore Custom AF105SM model.
