
Digitech has released at Summer NAMM a rack-mountable preamp/modeler unit designed for professional guitar players, the Digitech GSP1101 Preamp, it can work as a standalone device or be integrated on an existing rig. This device will provide 120 different models including amps, stompboxes or studio quality effects among others.
The Digitech GSP1101 Preamp features 22 stompbox models based on famous pedals (including Dunlop Cry Baby Wah, Boss CS-2, Ibanez TS-808 Tube Screamer, …), 36 amp models based on famous amps (’59 Fender Tweed Bassman, ‘83 Marshall JCM800, ‘81 Mesa Boogie Mark II C, …), 23 cabinet models (1×12 ‘57 Fender Tweed Deluxe, 2×12 ‘63 Vox AC0 Top Boost, 4×12 Marshall 1969 Straight, ..), 36 effects (reverb, compressors, delays, … ), 3-band EQ, gain and level amp controls, preset knob selector, USB 2.0 port (for computer editing), 1/4″ instrument and footswitch and expression pedals inputs, MIDI port, balanced XLR stereo and 1/4″ stereo amp outputs, effects loop and built-in chromatic tuner.
This preamp can be connected to a computer using Windows XP or Mac OS X to be used with the included Editor/Librarian software. The Digitech GSP1101 Preamp is now available and its price is $499.95.
