Another company that was in Summer NAMM was SWR, the Arizona bass amp company which bass amps are used by musicians like Roger Glover, Phil Lesh, Jason Newsted or David Pastorius (the nephew of Jaco Pastorius), has released a new 1,500-watts bass head amp from the Classic Series. The SWR SM 1500 can provide 1,500-watts or 750-watts per side in mono or stereo mode with the SWR clear tone.
The SWR SM 1500 features two 750-watts power modules, tube compressor with threshold, ratio, attack and release controls, boost circuit, 12AX7 power amp tube, dual 3-band semi-parametric EQ, direct, post-compressor or post EQ line output with level control, Speakon and 1/4″ speaker outputs and master bass and treble controls.
The bass head amp includes a footswitch that can do bass intensifier, boost, EQ select and effects loop adjustment functions. The SWR SM 1500 is now available and its price is $1,995.
