Martin has released at this year’s Summer NAMM a limited edition guitar to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the summer of love that made the hippie culture come into public. The guitar is the Martin Limited Edition 00X Hippie and have traditional peace and love hippie images designed by Don Oriolo in the top.
The Martin Limited Edition 00X Hippie features HPL textured finish body, natural stratabond neck, black micarta fingerboard, 20 frets, 25.4″ scale length, black micarta bridge and Gotoh Cosmo black tuners.
The production run of this guitar will be limited to 200 units, but left-handed version is available with no additional charge, and all of them come with a hippie case. The list price of the Martin Limited Edition 00X Hippie, $1,249, is not affordable for all the “hippies”.
