It looks like Fender wants to dominate the artist guitars market, only looking at the list of this year we have J. Mascis, Joe Strummer, Eric Clapton Crossroads, Buddy Miller, Andy Summers and now Jim Root, the Stone Sour and Slipknot. The Fender Jim Root Telecaster is not a classic telecaster model, it has active pickups and only master volume control.
The Fender Jim Root Telecaster other features are mahogany body, maple neck, ebony fingerboard, 22 medium jumbo frets, 25.5″ scale length, 6-saddle strings-through-body hardtail bridge, one EMG 60 (bridge) and one EMG 81 (neck) active humbucker pickups and 3-way pickup switch.
The guitar comes with characteristic Jim Root’s flat finish and is available in black and white colors. The Fender Jim Root Telecaster is now available and its recommended price is $900.
