The Fender’s artists series is continually growing, this time they have introduced the artist model of J. Mascis the guitar player and singer for the alternative rock band Dinosaur Jr. J. Mascis used to play a Jazzmaster guitar so we can suppose that the Fender J. Mascis Jazzmaster will be based on the model owned by him.
The Fender J. Mascis Jazzmaster features basswood body, maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, 21 jumbo frets, 25.5″ scale length, Adjusto-Matic bridge with Vintage Style “Floating” Tremolo, tremolo lock button, two special design MIJ single-coil Jazzmaster pickups, 3-way pickup switch, 2-position circuit slide (lead and rythm tone circuits) and one volume and one tone controls.
The guitar comes in a Purple Sparkle finish with gold pickguard that gives it a “special” colorful touch. The Fender J. Mascis Jazzmaster availability has to be announced yet, but its price will be around €990.
