There are some audio recording tasks that don’t need big and powerful gear, for example recording the vocal track for a YouTube-like video, recording an acoustic song for your MySpace account or recording a podcast. The Ion Audio iCR10 interface has been designed to make easier this kind of tasks, if you’re thinking of starting a podcast this is the right time.
The Ion Audio iCR10 interface features two channels (can be used simultaneously), two analog inputs (stereo RCA or 1/4″) with level controls, mic input (1/4″ or 1/8″) with level control, USB output and master level control. It can record directly into MP3 so you only need to record and upload the result.
This interface comes with the Audacity Recording Software and a desktop mic and is compatible with Windows and Mac OS. The price and availability of the Ion Audio iCR10 has to be announced yet.
