There have been some devices and software recently that help improving the sound quality of a home studio recording, here we have a very interesting one. The Gallo Engineering Studio Devil is a virtual tube amp that will provide tube head tone for your recordings, so if you like to have a free tube amp for your compositions check this out.
The Gallo Engineering Studio Devil is a VST plug-in that features three amp styles (classic, british and modern) based on the 12AX7A tubes, three channels (clean, crunch and lead), boost switch, gain, drive and presence controls, 3-band EQ, amp voicing switch (10 different speaker cabinets and modeling filters that give a blues, rock, country, metal, jazz, clean, hard, punk or modern sound).
This VST plug-in will be soon available, meanwhile the company has released a free download plug-in called Studio Devil BVC (British valve custom) with 12AX7A tube emulation, bass, mid, treble and presence controls and 44.1kHz, 48kHz, 88.2kHz, 96kHz, 176.4kHz, and 192kHz support. This plug-in is only available for VST hosts on PC platforms, so Mac users will have to wait.
