Although this is not an amp, we’ve put it in the amps category. Port City Amps, a company which amps and speakers are handmade in the US, has released a new cabinet speaker belonging to a new series of speakers, the Wave OS series. The Port City Amps 1×12 Wave OS cabinet is wider than other 1×12″ cabinets because they have made of the same width than their Dual Fifty amp.
The Port City Amps 1×12 Wave OS cabinet features 22″ width, 13 ply Baltic birch case (with 1/2″ Birch ply baffle and back panel), 5″ wide and 45º angle sound deflecting rear panel and smooth and clear tone. You can choose the speaker you want in the cabinet between on of these, Celestion Vintage 30, Celestion Greenback or Celestion G12H30.
Because of the construction the sound waves are projected to you from the back of the cabinet where the 45º back panel projects the waves to another 45º panel at the bottom of the cabinet that drives these waves to the front through a 1/8″ angled port. The Port City Amps 1×12 Wave OS cabinet is now available and its price is $549.
