
One part of the DJs’ work is getting easier with all the device released to help playing and searching the songs in your own storage or music devices. The Numark D2 Director is the newest one and is defined as a live performance digital media player. In this device you can connect your USB hard drive, thumb drive or MP3 player (including iPod), add the desired songs to the master playlist (The Crate) and connect the output directly to a mixer.
The Numark D2 Director features 2 channels with independent decks, three USB ports (one of them in the front panel), up to 12 USB devices at the same time (using powered USB hub) stereo line output per channel, 5″ backlit LCD display, multitasking (browse music while playing), fade start function, MP3, WAV and AAC file support and support for FAT, NTFS (Windows) and HFS (Mac) file systems. Each deck has the following controls, transport controls, jog wheel (for scratching and pitch-blending), pitch fader control, seamless loop function controls (loop in, loop out and reloop) and cue button.
This device is powered by a 12V DC adapter and comes with a USB keyboard to search songs in the library and in a rack-mountable format. The Numark D2 Director is now available and its price is $499.95.
