Gearjunkies brings us an advanced release, the new Propellerhead Reason 4. The Swedish company is releasing a beta version today and an approximate release date is mid August, but they want to fix all the bugs the beta testers can find, so it could take longer. Besides the bugs, the virtual studio software brings lots of new features.
The Propellerhead Reason 4 main features are new polyphonic Thor synth (with six different oscillator types), analog style step sequencer, RPG-8 arpeggiator with single note repeat (switches on the arpeggiator only when, at least, two notes are played together) and manual (real-time arpeggios) mode, ReGroove mixer (real-time groove fine-tuning) with up to 32 channels, signature patches and a new improved tool window to provide better access to all the huge quantity of program options.
This software is available in English, French, German or Japanese. The price of the new Propellerhead Reason 4 will be $499 (€449 for Europe), but if you already have a previous version of this software the upgrade price is $129 (€99 for Europe).
