Here we have another field of war between two of the most important guitar companies, Gibson and Fender. Electronic Arts has announced the new guitar that will be included in Rock Band (the new game where you will be able to play guitar, bass, drums and, also, sing) will be a Fender Stratocaster replica with 10 frets (5 for solos) and effects switch (from Roland and Boss).
On the other hand we have the new controller for Guitar Hero III, in this case the guitar chosen is a Gibson Les Paul replica with a pair of buttons where the pickup switch is in the real Les Pauls. The only exception is for Playstation II, the new guitar controller will be a Kramer guitar (owned by Gibson) instead of the classic Guitar Hero’s Gibson SG.
So, do you think that fans of each guitar will choose the game for the guitar that’s included? I think some of them will do it, and the guitar companies know that. What’s your favorite, Rock Band or Guitar Hero III?
